Accidental Dream; Part A, Not a Joke – April 1, 2017

My husband was having a difficult time sleeping; rather than go to the couch, catch some Netflix to take his mind off the day, instead he spent the evening in prayer.

Whenever my husband invites Dear Holy Spirit into the house, something always happens, whether you want it to or not; tonight was no exception.

I woke up in the morning telling my husband about the most amazing dream I had, thinking it was nothing more than a pizza-inspired dream, but he didn’t agree…

I dreamed I had two cartons of eggs, and most of the eggs in my carton had been broken.  I was standing by a large oak barrel heaped with eggs and I was told I could exchange my eggs for any ones that I wanted.  Carefully placing my cartons on the table next to the barrel, I started to make my pick; moving aside small eggs, big and speckled eggs, I picked up the ones I thought would be the best and carefully removed the ones that were broken in my carton.  One by one, I replaced most of my eggs, closed my cartons and made my way home.  On my way home, I realized I lived on the edge of a theme park and I saw the theme park map in front of me as though I was walking a fun, cartoon path back to me and my husband’s place, recognizing that my new boss’s house was also alongside the park.  When I got home, one of the eggs started to hatch, and out came a cute yellow chick that nuzzled up to me.  I went to the kitchen to make it a bed with a heat lamp and a box with shavings thinking about how my husband would be so surprised.  It was then I heard another egg start to hatch, and by the time I made it back to the living room where I’d left the eggs, this big black and white, goose-like bird was hatched and growing so fast I couldn’t contain it.  I became worried that this bird would poop and make a mess in the living room and trying to contain it, brought it to the little habitat I’d made the first chick, but it was already outgrowing it.  Then more hatching sounds came from the living room and when I came out, there were twin dachshunds from one egg, a beautiful kitty.  All of these animals were all over the living room!  I gathered a bunch of building supplies and I built an atrium for the animals just outside, with homes all along the walls and all of these animals were sweet, loving… and didn’t smell!

I was filled with such joy and couldn’t wait to play with them when I got back from the Theme park that I was going to with my husband and invited my new boss.

When I awoke, I was breathless with how much excitement I had about these hatching eggs and the theme park, that it was disappointing to wake up, and head to another day of work.

What does it all mean?  My hubby and I took two days to try and digest my dream and his dream …. (to be continued).
